VW Polo GTI Date Drive | Design & Direction

I workied with Ogilvy Cape Town on a campaign to see whether driving the new VW Polo GTI would make you more attractive.

The requirements for the campaign included a microsite, incorporating a live data feed, video, and messaging console. As well as an Android native app which the contestant/user carries to communicate to the site.

TaxiRank is a project I co-founded, an online taxi booking service in South Africa.

TaxiRank launched to the public in December 2011 in both desktop and mobile versions. Access the mobile site via your smartphone and get started.

CTG


CTG | Identity and online

Cor Tech Group asked me to rebrand their companyas their identity and core business was very technologybased, and they were moving towards a logistics/innovation focus.

Part of the rebrand was to change the name to the acronym CTG, thereby phasing out the Tech element from the original identity.

The end product represented the core values of the new direction, organic, efficient, repsonsible and trustworthy.

Britney Spears | Online design

I was commissioned to design the online identity and platform variations for Britney Spears ahead of her Circus album launch.

The brief outlined a complete redesign of the micro-site, as well as the YouTube channel, MySpace profile, Facebook page, Twitter account and Ning community. The design covered these social media platforms seamlessly and was embraced well by fans and visitors.

While at Buynary I was tasked with redefining Jack Parow's online creative presence.

The concept of the site was to play on the Bellville connection and was influenced by his first major hit "Cooler as ekke". The brief was to create something visually awesome that needed little maintenance. I opted on populating the site by pulling in content from Jack's social media platform, allowing him to manage his current profiles and not adding additional work.

I was called in to conceptualise and develop the brand identity and online presence for the startup Thirst4Work, an online job board and recruitment portal.

The brand was entering an already competitive South African marketplace and needed to position itself as the fresh new face of online job seeking. The identity was developed to be used effectively across a broad range of marketing channels, as well as translate well to 3 dimensional use and on-street activations.

Teton Cattle co | Brand identity & online

When you buy Teton Cattle Company beef you know where it is coming from and that you are getting the highest quality meats available. Sustainable, Healthy, and Flavorful. These values were the driving theme behind the direction.

The owners really wanted to feature the location in the identity but had no idea how to consolidate it with the organic beef concept. Using the iconic Teton mountain range silhouette along with the heiffer cow I was able to capture the owners vision for the identity as well as create an economical design solution for their print requirements.

Harvard vs Yale | Annual football game party

This was a particularly fun project for the annual Harvard vs Yale football party, involving some print, digital (microsite with guestlist functionality) and logo design. It was a relatively short, tense deadline, but fun nonetheless... and Harvard won!
